We Are MGroup™ – Interview with Regina Arnold

Regina just celebrated working at MGroup™ for half of a decade, and we don’t remember what the company was like before her. She is so loved, personally and professionally. As our Executive Assistant and Office Manager, Regina answers and redirects company calls, manages scheduling for our executives, arranges meetings, organizes tradeshows, coordinates travel arrangements, and so much more. All that she does for everyone on our team simply can’t be condensed into a job title. She means so much to each of us, and we are so fortunate she’s on our team!

Learn more about Regina in the one-on-one interview below.

How long have you been with MGroup™?

RA: I have been with MGroup for five years.

What is your role at MGroup™?

RA: I am the Executive Assistant to CEO Bo Burdette and Chairman Dave Murray.

How did you end up working with MGroup™?

RA: My family was relocated due to my husband’s work (KIA Manufacturing US). Stepping down as an executive, I heard about the Executive Assistant position at MGroup from a friend, and believing I had a unique perspective into what it takes to assist an executive with an enormously busy schedule, I applied for the position. This is a great position that entails working with our executives, directors, and teammates, and I believe you will not find a finer group of people anywhere.

What is your experience and background in the industry?

RA: I cannot say I have any direct experience with the hospitality industry, other than my love for travel. That being said, my family history, education, and career background are applicable to the industry. I grew up with an enterprising mother who owned a furniture manufacturing and reupholstery business that provided me with a strong understanding of construction, function, textiles, and design. This enables me to appreciate the well-designed and serviceable products we provide to the industry. My educational background in Business Management from CNC and Design from the Watkins Institute of Architecture and Design instilled a passion to look at every aspect of the industry from a business perspective and our product lines from a design and functionality perspective. My career experiences since 1983 encompass the fields of management, managerial accounting, design, construction, fabrication, and art, and these all are applicable to the industry.

What do you enjoy most about working for MGroup™?

RA: Where do I start? I enjoy the ethics, the management style, the customer service, the products. . . but mostly the team behind it all.

What are the values that drive you?

RA: I strive to do everything I do to the glory of God. There is no higher standard.

What is the most interesting thing you’ve done while at MGroup™ or something that was the most memorable about working at MGroup™?

RA: It was interesting having a letter in my car to allow me to commute to work during the COVID pandemic, especially when I was the only person in the Meridien House building and Matthew Partin was the only person at the Annex. The most rewarding things has been our community and world outreach programs giving back to the community. The most memorable has been seeing the development of Ultracera, a product that has impacts the health of people, the health of our environment and climate, and inextricably sustains our planet.
