We Are MGroup™ – Interview with Kendra Mobley

One of the characteristics that makes MGroup™ a successful company is our incredible employees in all areas of our business. Whether they are customer-facing or behind-the-scenes, MGroup™ would not be who we are today without them. One of those behind-the-scenes staff is Kendra Mobley, Accountant. Kendra has been an integral part of our Accounting team since 2017 as she manages our Accounts Payable function and prepares pay apps for our General Contractor customers. She represents the best in young professionals today and makes us excited to see what the future holds. Learn more about Kendra Mobley in a one-on-one interview below.

What is your role at MGroup™?

KM: My role is Accounts payable. I complete change orders, prepare pay applications for MGroup customers, and ensure all freight vendors are paid in a timely manner.

How long have you been with MGroup™?

KM: I have been an employee for MGroup since November of 2017. This year will make 4 years.

What do you enjoy most about working for MGroup™?

KM: I love the environment of MGroup. I was very nervous on my first day of work. However, once I arrived everyone was so nice and welcoming. The workspace was comfortable, and I had everything I needed when I arrived. Higher management at MGroup is phenomenal, and they have ensured the company’s success for many years. However, they still allow time to check in on their employees personally and professionally. I like the monthly video meetings. It’s nice to see everyone and announce news, etc. At MGroup you do not feel like you are just an employee, you feel like you are a part of a family.

What is your experience and background in Accounting?

KM: I graduated from Coastal Pines Technical College in June of 2016, with an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting.

I received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from LaGrange College in the year 2018 while working for MGroup. MGroup’s tuition assistance program has helped me achieve my goal of gaining higher education. In which, I will graduate Spring of 2022 from Clayton State University with a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

What are the values that drive you?

KM: I am big on Integrity. My aim is to always show professionalism and honesty to my fellow coworkers and higher management. Integrity also accompanies showing respect for MGroup’s company policies, which I aim to do every day.
